Scale Operator Traffic Spotter Sharon

Operate scales and direct transfer-station traffic for Miller Waste Systems in Sharon, Ontario, using accurate records, customer service, and safe vehicle spotting.
This permanent full-time Rover position covers Scale Operator and Traffic Bin/Spotter duties at Bales and YRWMC Facilities. You will weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles, document materials, process cash, debit, and credit transactions, and assist customers. The work also involves load inspections, contamination removal, reports, housekeeping, and seasonal maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles accurately
Record tickets, receipts, payments, and required paperwork
Direct vehicles toward proper recycling and drop-off areas
Inspect loads and remove obvious contamination
Maintain clean, organized, hazard-free grounds and facilities
Requirements:
Knowledge of occupational Health and Safety Act requirements
Microsoft Office, PC systems, and keyboarding skills
Ability to stand and lift up to 50 pounds
Comfort working around heavy equipment and weather elements
Availability for overtime, holidays, and weekends
