Resident Care Aide AgeCare Shawnee
AgeCare Ltd.
Deliver resident-focused care at AgeCare Shawnee, supporting personal comfort, meals, mobility, and daily activities under nursing supervision. This regular part time role is based in Calgary.
As a Health Care Aide, you will apply care skills while collaborating with the team to provide safe, thorough services. The work includes personal washing, feeding support, resident transfers, routine treatments, and movement throughout the facility. You will accompany residents to dining, beauty, physiotherapy, recreation, social, and therapy functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the care team on resident care delivery
Assist residents with meals and nourishment times
Support walking, wheelchairs, walkers, and positioning chairs
Apply skin creams and bowel protocols as directed
Always wear a transfer belt during transfers
Requirements:
Completion of recognized PCA or HCA certificate education
Active registration with the CLHA
Oral and written English fluency
Continuing care or related experience preferred
Post-secondary education considered an asset
