Freight Handling Associate Hamilton

Handle freight indoors in Hamilton’s Mount Hope with manual loading, unloading, and sorting across a PM shift with AM shifts available.
As a Freight Handling Associate, you will support a major logistics hub serving all of Canada. This temp-to-perm role includes training in a fully automated environment, while previous freight experience is helpful but unnecessary. Daily duties can change between areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Sort freight by destination, weight, size, and shape
Unload curbside trucks onto conveyors
Load freight into linehaul trucks or trailers
Preload mail and packages into delivery vehicles
Transfer bulk or non-conveyable items manually
Requirements:
Physical stamina for manual freight handling
Ability to use pump trucks and manual jiggers
Attention to detail when reading addresses
Comfort adapting between changing shift duties
Previous freight experience helpful, not required
Build logistics skills through freight sorting, conveyor work, truck loading, and training in Hamilton’s Mount Hope facility.
