IT Hardware Lifecycle Student Intern
Sun Life
Support IT hardware lifecycle activities at Sun Life’s Waterloo Data Centre, applying accuracy, organization, and Microsoft Excel knowledge. Occasional Brampton travel may be required.
This student internship focuses on collecting, documenting, organizing, and preparing IT hardware for installation or disposition. You will coordinate vendor pickups, support onsite escorts, and assist Data Centre Operations technicians. The assignment may include remote work based on assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and document hardware using IT owner input
Assist with hard drive collection and punching
Coordinate building security requirements for equipment movements
Validate data in the DCIM tool
Support UPS onboarding to Eaton’s performance management tool
Requirements:
August 2027 or later graduation date
Detail-oriented approach with strong accuracy commitment
Excellent communication and time management abilities
Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
Reliability Status Clearance required before employment begins
