Municipal Heavy Equipment Operator
Township of Oro-Medonte - Oro-Medonte, ON
Operate heavy municipal equipment for the Township of Oro-Medonte, using trucks, loaders, excavators, and snowplow attachments. This full-time contract requires flexible availability.
Reporting to the Operations Division, you will support the Operations & Community Services Department as a Seasonal Equipment Operator. The work includes operating construction equipment, large commercial motor vehicles, and specialized attachments. You will also respond to roadside emergencies, follow work orders, and support road closures.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate front-end loaders, excavators, skid steers, and trucks
Use snowplows, sanders, blowers, sweepers, and brush chippers
Review and follow up on directed work orders
Respond to emergency roadside tree removal requests
Install barricades for road closures and detours
Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent and two years related experience
Valid Ontario Class DZ Driver’s License
Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
Knowledge of maintenance and construction practices
Ability to work independently and meet physical requirements
Bring equipment operation, municipal maintenance, and dependable availability to Seasonal Equipment Operator work with Oro-Medonte.
