Support patients in Edmonton’s busy tertiary Emergency as a Health Care Aide using personal assistance and collaborative care. Work at U of A Hospital within Alberta Health Services.
This regular full-time Health Care Aide supports Adults and Stollery in family-centred care. You will assist with daily living, hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs. The work includes communication with patients, families, caregivers, nurses, and health professionals.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal assistance according to patient care plans
Assist nurses with routine patient care activities
Support hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs
Observe and report patients’ mood, health, and wellbeing
Maintain safe environments for patients, staff, and visitors
Requirements:

Active or eligible CLHA registration or practice permit
Health Care Aide certificate or completion within 18 months
Current Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider registration
One year acute health care or rehabilitation experience
Medical Terminology completion and English language comprehension
Bring patient assistance, acute care experience, and collaborative communication to Health Care Aide work at U of A Hospital.
