Healthcare Facility Maintenance Mechanic

Maintain healthcare facilities with plumbing, mechanical, and building repair skills as a Maintenance Mechanic working in person on day shifts. This full-time position supports Facility Management at CGH.
Working within the Winnipeg Health Region, the Maintenance Mechanic maintains buildings, building services, building service equipment, and departmental equipment. The position requires three years of varied maintenance experience and completed high school education. Healthcare facility experience is an asset, while independent work, communication, and emergency response are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain buildings and building service equipment
Perform basic plumbing and mechanical repairs
Repair commercial doors, windows, walls, and floors
Handle power tools and hand tools
Respond effectively to emergency situations
Requirements:
Three years of varied maintenance experience
Complete high school education meeting Manitoba standards
Ability to follow directions and work independently
Good written and verbal communication skills
Current required criminal and abuse registry checks
