Use advanced nursing knowledge at Battlefords Community Health in North Battleford, providing autonomous assessment and treatment for primary care patients. Travel within the region and provincially is required.
This full-time regular Nurse Practitioner position supports common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions. You will apply evidence-based primary care, holism, health promotion, and disease prevention principles. The work includes partnerships with individuals, families, and communities, alongside inter-professional collaboration and evaluative projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients and create clinical treatment strategies
Manage acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions
Prescribe pharmaceuticals and order diagnostic tests
Perform authorized procedures in patient care
Participate in continuous improvement processes and projects
Requirements:
Master of Nurse Practitioner education
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificates
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to adapt to changing conditions
Apply advanced practice nursing, independent judgment, and adaptable communication skills across primary care services in North Battleford.
