Regulated Pharmacy Technician Dispensing

Accurate prescription dispensing and attentive customer service define this Regulated Pharmacy Technician position in a Shoppers Drug Mart store. Support timely pharmacy services while keeping customers at the centre.
Working in a locally owned and operated Shoppers Drug Mart store, you will assist with technical dispensing functions and pharmacy operations. Your responsibilities include prescription data entry, refill processing, medication selection, third-party adjudication, and customer service. You will follow Pharmacy Standards of Practice, refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists, and protect privacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather prescription information according to required standards
Accurately dispense, package, label, and process prescriptions
Adjudicate third-party billing and manage related accounts
Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists
Maintain dispensary cash registers and completed documentation
Requirements:
Registration with the corresponding provincial licensing college
Diploma from a Pharmacy Technician College
Previous pharmacy experience preferred
Effective organizational and multitasking skills
Strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
