Canadian Blood Services is seeking Temporary Part Time Laboratory Assistants for its laboratory team. You will support whole blood processing from collection through final product distribution. The work includes blood component production, product issuing, inventory, equipment maintenance, and records. This position is temporary part time.
Key Responsibilities:

Process blood components from apheresis donations
Issue blood products to hospitals and external agencies
Maintain laboratory supplies, fractionation products, red cells, and platelets
Maintain inventory documentation and records
Perform equipment maintenance and record laboratory temperatures
Requirements:

Grade 12 plus one year of recent related experience
Knowledge of laboratory operations and related equipment
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, donors, and the public
Ability to organize work and work with departments
Physical ability to lift up to 10 kilograms
Apply laboratory operations, organization, and attention to detail while supporting safe blood products for Canadian Blood Services.
