Community Support Home Maker

Provide respectful day-to-day support as a Home Maker with 'Namgis Community Services, serving Alert Bay community members for 35 hours weekly.
This full time Home Maker position supports individuals unable to complete essential tasks independently. The successful candidate will be motivated, reliable, compassionate, and personable while providing dependable assistance in the community. Strong written and verbal communication, local support service knowledge, and teamwork are central to the work. The position reports to the Director of 'Namgis Community Services and combines independent responsibilities with collaborative service delivery. Experience working or volunteering with elderly persons or persons with disabilities is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Home Making services to community members
Provide respectful, reliable day-to-day support
Maintain a pleasant and professional approach
Coordinate communication with colleagues and service providers
Work effectively independently and within a team
Requirements:
One to two years supporting elderly persons or persons with disabilities
Good written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of local support services
Minimum Grade 12 education
First Aid, Food Safe, WHMIS, and clean record check
Use your reliability, compassion, and communication skills to provide Home Making support throughout the Alert Bay community.
