Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools seeks an Educational Assistant to support students with mild to severe intellectual, emotional, learning, sensory, communication, physical, or medical needs. The successful candidate communicates fluently in French and English. Experience implementing Individual Program Plans and positive behavioural interventions is required. The role supports Christ-centered education and Truth and Reconciliation goals.
Responsabilités principales:
Assist students with diverse learning and support needs
Help implement Individual Program Plans
Model and teach social skills and emotional regulation
Support Google Apps and assistive communication technology
Apply positive, proactive behavioural strategies
Qualifications:
Complete MacEwan University training or equivalent post-secondary education
Communicate fluently in written and spoken French and English
Work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
Support students with social-emotional-behavioural needs
Lift and toilet students when required
Support French immersion learners through bilingual communication, behavioural strategies, Individual Program Plans, and inclusive educational assistance.
