Under the Dining Services Manager, this cook prepares nutritious meals and snacks for residents and guests. The work includes food preparation, attractive plating, sanitation, and dietary restrictions. You will also support inventory, food temperature checks, snack trays, and effective communication with residents, guests, and coworkers.
Key Responsibilities:
Cook and prepare meals according to planned menus
Plate nutritious food following sanitation and safety regulations
Receive orders and control ingredient inventory
Maintain clean preparation areas and kitchen equipment
Complete food temperature checks and documentation
Requirements:
Minimum grade 12 education
Minimum two years large volume cooking experience
Valid regional safe food handler’s certificate
Strong knife, preparation, and fundamental baking skills
Effective written and verbal English communication
Bring dependable cooking, plating, sanitation, and communication skills to support welcoming dining experiences for Riverwalk residents and guests.
