Hospital Food Service Attendant

Support Mackenzie Health’s Food and Nutrition Services with food preparation, sanitation, and patient dish cleanup across assigned healthcare sites. Physical stamina and food safety knowledge are essential.
The Food Service Attendant completes food service and sanitation tasks for patients and services. Duties include preparing food appropriately, cleaning equipment, washing dishes, and maintaining departmental areas. The position requires understanding therapeutic diets, standardized recipes, and production sheets.
Key Responsibilities:

Clean patient and service dishes
Sanitize Food Services equipment
Prepare food for patients as appropriate
Complete general departmental cleaning
Follow food service procedures and guidelines
Requirements:

Current valid Food Safety Proton Certificate from Public Health
Food Service Worker program enrollment or completion
Ability to push loaded carts and lift heavy boxes
Ability to stand, walk, and work in refrigerators
Strong command of English
