This Crematory Operator receives and processes human remains, completes documentation, and returns cremated remains to authorized persons. The position requires respectful care, chain-of-custody accuracy, equipment maintenance, and compliance with applicable licensing authority regulations. Work follows company policies, procedures, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive remains and complete accurate visual identification
Perform tasks involved in the cremation process respectfully
Maintain cremation documentation, logs, and required reports
Maintain chain-of-custody paperwork and facility records
Maintain the crematorium, equipment, and adjacent facilities
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
One to three months of apprentice experience
Certified Crematory Operator certification where required by state law
Basic industrial equipment operation and troubleshooting skills
Compassion, integrity, communication, and attention to detail
