Fractional Human Resources Director Toronto

Provide strategic human resources guidance in a hybrid, flexible Toronto contract focused on leadership effectiveness and employee engagement. Strong English communication is essential.
Altis Recruitment is partnering with a national nonprofit organization seeking an experienced Fractional Human Resources Director. Working with senior leadership, you will strengthen performance management, employee relations, and organizational development. The six-month engagement averages approximately eight hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise senior leaders on employee relations and sensitive workplace matters
Strengthen performance reviews, goal setting, and accountability frameworks
Coach managers through feedback, difficult conversations, and team development
Support engagement, retention, and career development initiatives
Recommend communication improvements using employee survey feedback
Requirements:
Ten to fifteen years of progressive human resources experience
Experience coaching executives and improving performance management practices
Strong employee relations expertise and sound judgment
Knowledge of Canadian employment practices across provinces
Ability to work independently in fractional consulting capacity
Apply senior human resources expertise, executive coaching, and employee relations judgment within a flexible Toronto nonprofit engagement.
