Personal Support Worker Geriatric Care
AgeCare
Support geriatric residents at AgeCare through bedside care, sanitation practices, and careful observation. Work according to established care plans and resident needs.
As a Personal Support Worker, you assist with resident care and help identify changing needs. You provide simple treatments and related bedside care while understanding geriatric requirements. The position also includes documentation, staff learning activities, onboarding support, and IPAC compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with simple treatments and bedside care
Monitor care according to established resident plans
Identify needs through resident observation
Support safe and secure resident environments
Assist with onboarding new staff as directed
Requirements:
Graduate of a Personal Support Worker program
Meet Ontario Community Support Association standards
Knowledge of sanitation and cleaning techniques
Knowledge of geriatric resident care needs
Follow infection prevention and control procedures
Use bedside care, sanitation, observation, and geriatric knowledge to support residents as an AgeCare Personal Support Worker.
