Hospital Environmental Services Cleaner
Hawkesbury and District General Hospital
Clean and disinfect patient rooms at HGH in Hawkesbury, using housekeeping and infection control techniques in an on-site, part-time role.
Hygiene and Sanitation services is a temporary 0.7 FTE position at HGH Main Campus. The work centers on infection prevention, room turnover after patients leave, and disinfecting common areas. Successful candidates demonstrate initiative, discretion, versatility, confidentiality, and strong interpersonal skills when interacting with patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficiently clean rooms after patient departures
Disinfect rooms to support infection prevention
Maintain clean, disinfected common areas
Accommodate new patients quickly between units
Requirements:
Housekeeping experience using infection control techniques
High school diploma or equivalent
Capacity to lift and carry objects
Comfort performing repetitive movements
Practical knowledge of French and English
