Position Purpose:
The General Labourer assists the warehouse team with the preparation, loading, and unloading of building materials for delivery. The payscale for this role is $20-22 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist withthe preparation oftrucks for loading.
Ensure load security and accuracy.
Maintain the general appearance and housekeeping of work areas. Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures.
Assist other warehouse staff as required.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Customer service in the yard.
Load material into vehicles.
Cut material if needed.
General yard housekeeping.
Basic Qualifications:
Effective written and oral communication skills.
Basic hand tool skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs.
Frequently climbing up and down stairs and onto trucks and material. Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movementswith weight.
Compensation:
The (range of) compensation for this position is $20.77 to $24.09
