Apprentice Tool Die Maintenance
Magna International
Apply Tool and Die training at Magna while assisting with equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, repairs, and process improvements in manufacturing.
This apprentice position supports Cosma International’s body, chassis, and engineering operations. Working under a qualified journeyman, you will perform assigned machinery, equipment, process, and facility activities subject to review. Ministry training and signed-contract requirements guide the apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist qualified tradespeople with assigned maintenance activities
Identify equipment weaknesses and implement approved improvements
Evaluate processes for uptime and repeatability
Coordinate helpers and assigned contractors
Update preventative maintenance procedures when required
Requirements:
Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent
Level 2 Tool and Die Maker or Mold Maker completion
One trade application permitted for apprenticeship postings
Flexibility for scheduled and unscheduled overtime shifts
Ability to work inside and outside plant locations
Bring Level 2 trade preparation to supervised equipment maintenance and continuous improvement supporting Cosma’s automotive manufacturing processes.
