Purchasing Agent Supply Chain

Manage procurement for BVGlazing Systems in Concord, Ontario, using supplier negotiation and analytical skills to keep materials moving efficiently.
As a Purchasing Agent, you will oversee daily procurement activities supporting window wall, curtain wall, and railing production. The position requires sourcing materials, evaluating suppliers, maintaining inventory, and coordinating timely deliveries. You will work with production, warehouse, service, site management, and accounting teams across purchasing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers
Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and service agreements
Issue purchase orders and monitor successful delivery
Update orders in purchasing software and resolve discrepancies
Coordinate inventory, cycle counts, shipping, and customs requirements
Requirements:
Three to five years of purchasing or procurement experience
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or related field
Strong analytical, commercial negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Proficiency in written and spoken English
