Perioperative Support Surgical Suite

Support surgical care at Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering through patient transport, equipment handling, and Surgical Suite support. This temporary part-time role includes varied shifts.
As Perioperative Support in the Surgical Program, you will work with a multidisciplinary team in OR Main, LHAP. Responsibilities include transporting patients and specimens, preparing rooms, maintaining equipment, and managing supplies. The assignment lasts 15 months, with eight-hour days, evenings, nights, and weekends subject to change.
Key Responsibilities:

Transport patients by stretcher, bed, and wheelchair
Assist with patient positioning, lifting, and transfers
Set up, clean, and maintain Surgical Suite equipment
Replenish carts, rooms, and supplies
Prepare soiled case carts for transportation to SPD
Requirements:

Successful completion of CSAO or MDRAO course
Current CPR certificate
Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of universal precautions for supplies and specimens
Ability to work all shifts and weekends
Bring patient transport, equipment support, and surgical teamwork skills to Perioperative Support at Lakeridge Health Ajax-Pickering.
