Electrical Building Systems Design Engineer
BGIS
Design building electrical systems and electric vehicle charging infrastructure with BGIS in a hybrid Toronto or Markham position. Manage multiple projects concurrently.
The Electrical Design Engineer supports BGIS professional services through electrical engineering and design deliverables. This full-time position covers building power, lighting, controls, emergency power, life-safety systems, fire alarms, and renewable generation or storage. You will coordinate with engineers, architects, facility management, technicians, authorities, and CAD staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage scope, deliverables, budgets, and project financials
Develop electrical building systems designs and specifications
Coordinate CAD deliverables and requests with authorities
Design electric vehicle charging infrastructure and tenant fit-ups
Support quality control and mentor young engineers
Requirements:
Minimum five years electrical design or engineering experience
Electrical Engineering degree from an accredited university
Project management experience for engineering design projects
Familiarity with Electrical Codes and Provincial Building Codes
Driver’s license and proficiency with MS Office
Bring detailed electrical engineering, project management, and building systems expertise to BGIS projects serving Toronto and Markham facilities.
