OSI Clinic Psychiatrist Fredericton
Horizon Health Network
Practice psychiatry in Fredericton with Horizon Health Network, providing trauma-informed care and specialized mental health services within an interdisciplinary OSI Clinic.
This permanent full-time Psychiatrist role supports active and retired Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, and RCMP members. You will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments, treatment recommendations, and ongoing care for operational stress injuries. The work includes PTSD, depression, and anxiety disorders, with collaboration across psychology, social work, nursing, and occupational therapy. The clinic operates within the OSI National Network and is funded by Veterans Affairs Canada.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop diagnostic formulations
Provide pharmacological treatment and ongoing medication management
Oversee individualized treatment plans with multidisciplinary teams
Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary consultations
Support crisis intervention, documentation, and outcome monitoring
Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine with Psychiatry specialization
FRCPC certification or eligibility through the Royal College
Licensure or eligibility in New Brunswick
Experience in trauma-informed or military mental health preferred
Advanced English and effective multidisciplinary communication skills
Support operational stress injury care as a Horizon Psychiatrist through assessment, medication management, and collaborative treatment planning.
