Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

Provide critical care at Royal Columbian Hospital as a Registered Nurse using patient assessment and clinical nursing skills. Work in New Westminster, B.C., within Fraser Health.
This Registered Nurse position supports transition into intensive care nursing at Royal Columbian Hospital. You will consolidate specialty skills while completing applicable post graduate specialty nursing courses or programs within agreed time frames. The role requires person-centered care, collaboration, communication, and nursing documentation. Fraser Health’s Critical Care Program offers in-house and BCIT streams.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients and determine appropriate nursing interventions
Plan, provide, evaluate, and document nursing care
Coordinate care and contribute to discharge planning
Collaborate with patients, families, and interprofessional teams
Teach patients and families about health care and self-care
Requirements:
Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse registration with BCCNM
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Complete or pursue applicable post graduate specialty education
Physical ability to perform position duties
