Aecon seeks a Business Analyst for its Finance sector and Hamilton LRT Civil & Utilities Works project. The role translates stakeholder needs into reporting solutions using Power BI, Excel, SQL, Power Query, and DAX. It supports project teams with accurate information for cost, schedule, resource, and operational metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather reporting requirements from project teams and stakeholders
Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations for project performance
Analyze trends, risks, variances, opportunities, and key indicators
Validate data across project systems and business applications
Improve reporting processes and automate manual activities
Requirements:
One to three years in reporting, analytics, or project controls
Post-secondary education in analytics, business, engineering, or related disciplines
Power BI, Excel, data modeling, Power Query, DAX, and SQL knowledge
Experience translating stakeholder needs into reporting solutions
Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and data-quality skills
