Finance Coordinator Accounting Operations

Coordinate banking, reconciliations, and general ledger activities at Simon Fraser University while supporting accurate financial records and responsive service.
The Finance Coordinator supports Central Finance operations across the University. This work includes accounts receivable, financial system integrations, and journal entries. The position also provides technical accounting guidance to departments and resolves complex discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate banking, receivables, and general ledger activities
Perform complex bank and general ledger reconciliations
Prepare journal entries and resolve accounting discrepancies
Monitor collections, bank accounts, and system integrations
Support reporting, audits, controls, and process improvements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience
Excellent knowledge of accounting practices and GAAP
Knowledge of bank reconciliations and receivables aging
Analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in MS Excel and good communication skills
Bring accounting knowledge, analytical reasoning, and reconciliation expertise to strengthen financial operations at Simon Fraser University.
