Examine complex surgical specimens as a part-time Pathologist Assistant with William Osler Health System across multiple sites. Apply anatomy expertise and pathology skills.
This temporary three-month contract supports Osler’s Laboratory program across multiple sites. The Pathologist Assistant performs pathology duties, including gross specimen examination, dissection, weighing, photography, and frozen sections. The position also includes assisting with autopsies under pathologist supervision.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform duties required by the Pathology department
Examine and describe gross surgical specimens
Dissect, weigh, and photograph tissue specimens
Perform frozen sections when required
Assist with autopsies under pathologist supervision
Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Biology or Master’s in Pathology
Minimum two years of directly related experience
Strong knowledge of anatomy and tissue processing
Familiarity with pathology equipment and computer systems
Ability to travel between all Osler sites
Bring gross examination, frozen section, and autopsy support expertise to Osler’s part-time Laboratory team across multiple sites.
