Long Term Care Registered Nurse
Extendicare
Support seniors in long-term care through resident care planning and staff leadership at Extendicare’s Hamilton Home, Ontario.
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will provide care according to standards of practice and guide personal care staff. Your responsibilities include planning, directing, supervising, and evaluating their work. You will also assist with new team member orientation and training. The full-time evening shift runs from 3PM to 11PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide resident care according to practice standards
Plan personal care staff assignments and activities
Direct personal care staff during their work
Evaluate personal care staff performance
Assist with new team member training
Requirements:
Current provincial College of Nurses registration
Compassion in resident care
Professional conduct in the workplace
Respectful approach to residents and colleagues
Effective English reading, writing, and communication
Bring registered nursing practice, resident-focused care, and staff guidance to Extendicare’s full-time evening team in Hamilton.
