Personal Care Aide Mobility Support

Support resident mobility and daily comfort as a Personal Care Aide, assisting transfers, meals, personal care, and facility travel.
This Health Care Aide position works under Staff Nurse supervision as part of AgeCare’s care team. You will apply your training and competencies to deliver safe, thorough basic care and services. Responsibilities include mobility assistance, personal care, nourishment, treatments, and transportation throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisted residents between beds, wheelchairs, commodes, and toilets
Used ceiling lifts, mechanical lifts, and transfer belts
Helped residents walk with walkers and mechanical aids
Escorted residents between rooms and facility destinations
Supported attendance at beauty, physiotherapy, and recreation activities
Requirements:
Completion of recognized Personal Care Aide certificate course
Active registration with CLHA
Fluency in English, orally and in writing
Continuing care or related experience preferred
Post-secondary education is an asset
Use mobility support, transfer equipment, and resident-focused care skills while assisting AgeCare residents throughout daily routines.
