Serco’s fire and emergency services team is hiring a firefighter for its 5 Wing Goose Bay base. This position combines structural and aircraft rescue firefighting with annual ARFF recertification under STANAG 7145. Applicants must hold required firefighter, EMR 2, driver’s licence, education, medical, fitness, and clearance credentials.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver structural firefighting services at the base
Support aircraft rescue firefighting operations
Maintain annual ARFF recertification under STANAG 7145
Complete required annual medical testing
Complete required annual fitness testing
Requirements:

Minimum 5A firefighter qualification or listed NFPA certifications
EMR 2 qualification to Newfoundland and Labrador standards
Class 3 NL driver’s licence with air brake endorsement
Ability to obtain Enhanced Reliability clearance
Post-secondary education
Use structural response, aircraft rescue, and recognized emergency qualifications while serving Serco at 5 Wing Goose Bay.
