Housing Support Worker Kelowna

Support housing stability in Kelowna with trauma-informed care, wellness checks, and respectful resident engagement at Kelowna’s Gospel Mission.
As a temporary part-time Housing Support Worker, you will maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents. Build supportive relationships, assist with daily needs, and work with the casework team. This Wednesday-to-Friday schedule supports move-ins, wellness, and housing stability.
Key Responsibilities:
Build trusting relationships through wellness checks and daily engagement
Support tenant goals through services and programs
Complete building walk-throughs and report safety concerns
De-escalate violent situations while prioritizing safety
Document interactions, activities, services, and incidents accurately
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Housing, shelter, or social service experience
Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract
Strong interpersonal skills and professional boundaries
Vulnerable Sector Criminal Records Check required
Bring compassion, documentation skills, and housing support experience to help KGM residents pursue safe, stable housing in Kelowna.
