Part-Time Early Learning Assistant
YMCA of Northeastern Ontario
Support children’s growth as a Part-Time Early Learning Assistant with the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario in Callander, Ontario. Apply play-based programming and child supervision skills.
At the MT. Davidson After School Program, you will help create safe, nurturing environments for children. The position includes supervising children, delivering YMCA curricula, documenting development, and communicating with families. You will also maintain attendance records, follow health and safety requirements, and support inclusive programming.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate supervision supporting children’s health, safety, and well-being
Plan educational programming using YMCA curricula
Track development through documentation and family communication
Conduct safety scans and sanitize toys, equipment, and furnishings
Complete attendance, incident, health, and development documentation
Requirements:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
Minimum two years working with children or youth
Current Standard First Aid and Infant and Child CPR Level C
Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014
Current Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check and immunization record
Bring supervision, communication, programming, and safety skills to children’s after-school learning at the YMCA in Callander.
