Container and Vessel Fumigator
SGS
Perform container, tarp, and vessel fumigations with SGS, applying safety procedures, operational communication, and accurate documentation throughout each assignment.
This Fumigator position performs pre-shipment and quarantine container fumigations according to SGS guidelines and standard operating procedures. The work includes generating vessel and quarantine documents, completing inspections within job scope, and maintaining communication with operations. Samples are delivered to the laboratory for analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform container fumigations for pre-shipment and quarantine requirements
Generate vessel and quarantined container fumigation documents
Complete inspections according to each job’s scope
Maintain communication with operations and accurate logs
Deliver samples and follow fumigation regulations
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
One to three years’ fumigating experience is an asset
Obtain Pesticide Applicator Licence and required safety training
Obtain WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods training
Support SGS fumigation services through safe field execution, documentation, inspections, communication, and laboratory sample delivery.
