Casual Hospital Food Services Worker

Support patient meals at Squamish Hospital as a casual Food Services Worker with Vancouver Coastal Health, using Food Safe practices and careful service.
Reporting to Food Services leadership, this worker performs meal preparation and service duties within a client and family centered care model. Responsibilities include portioning diets, preparing beverages, assembling sandwiches and salads, checking dietary accuracy, and maintaining kitchen areas. The position also supports patient units through wagon and tray delivery.
Key Responsibilities:

Portion and serve meals according to dietary requirements
Prepare vegetables, beverages, desserts, sandwiches, and salads
Check patient and resident trays for dietary accuracy
Wash dishes, clean equipment, and maintain food areas
Deliver trays, replenish supplies, and answer customer queries
Requirements:

Grade 10 and one year of related recent experience
Equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered
Food Safe Certificate Level 1
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
Physical ability to perform position duties
Bring organized food preparation, dietary accuracy, and respectful service to Vancouver Coastal Health’s Squamish Hospital team.
