IB MYP Math Science Teacher Vancouver

Teach IB MYP Mathematics and Science on-site at St. John’s School in Vancouver, using inquiry-based learning and differentiated instruction. Support student wellbeing.
This permanent full-time Senior School position serves Grades 6–10 within SJS’s IB MYP programme. You will facilitate engaging lessons, assess student growth, and contribute to curriculum development. The role includes advising one group, with possible MYP or DP teaching based on qualifications, experience, need, and interest.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver IB Mathematics and Science lessons across Senior School grades
Develop innovative Math and Science curriculum with department colleagues
Design inquiry-based activities supporting insightful student engagement
Provide differentiated instruction within an inclusive learning environment
Assess, record, and report student growth against IB objectives
Requirements:
Valid British Columbia teaching certification and Bachelor of Education
Legal entitlement to work in Canada
Knowledge of International Baccalaureate programmes and MYP framework
Experience teaching IB or British Columbia Science is an asset
Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
