Platoon Chief Emergency Response Leader

Lead emergency response operations as a Platoon Chief with Canada’s Department of National Defence, using firefighting leadership and incident coordination skills.
DND is hiring experienced firefighter leaders for Platoon Chief opportunities across Canada. The role supervises and develops firefighting personnel while coordinating responses to fires, hazardous materials incidents, rescues, medical emergencies, and other high-risk situations. It also supports operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead emergency response operations across high-risk situations
Supervise and develop firefighting personnel
Coordinate fire, hazardous materials, rescue, and medical responses
Help maintain emergency vehicle and equipment readiness
Support fire protection system operational readiness
Requirements:
Recognized fire service professional certifications
Emergency Medical Responder certification
Experience supervising operational personnel
Experience delivering fire service training
Experience managing emergency incidents
