Insolvency Estate Accountant

Manage insolvency trust accounting and bank reconciliations as an Estate Accountant supporting Consumer Proposals and Bankruptcy estates. Serve as a financial liaison with external stakeholders.
This Estate Accountant & Trust Administrator manages the financial lifecycle of restructuring estates. The work combines payment tracking, dividend distributions, account reconciliations, and stakeholder communication. You will support accurate, compliant transactions within a regulated professional framework.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor incoming bank payments and electronic deposits
Post payments from Consumer Proposals and bankruptcies
Calculate and issue accurate dividend distributions
Reconcile specialized estate trust accounts regularly
Balance ledgers and file required statutory forms
Requirements:
Five or more years in trust accounting or financial administration
Experience with accounts payable or receivable
Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
Exceptional accuracy with high-volume numerical transactions
Strong verbal and written communication skills
