Hospital Patient Transport Service Worker

Support Maternal Child units at Red Deer Regional Hospital through patient transport, equipment movement, and safe hospital service. Work within a 0.40 FTE temporary part-time schedule.
As a Service Worker I with Alberta Health Services, you will support Labor and Delivery, the Obstetrical Operating Room, Postpartum, Pediatrics, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Your work helps provide safe, quality care while reflecting AHS values. The position requires patient transport, equipment handling, supply distribution, and equipment cleaning.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport patients between hospital patient care areas
Move equipment to and from designated hospital areas
Distribute and replenish supplies throughout supported units
Clean equipment and patient care areas as directed
Transport specimens, blood products, and patient charts
Requirements:
Grade 12 education or equivalent
Inter-professional communication skills
Patient, family, client, and community centered care
Ability to balance demands and conflicting priorities
Satisfactory required security screening before starting work
