Provide patient care as a Health Care Aide at Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg, working in person across days, evenings, and weekends. Support patients with safe, compassionate care.
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority seeks a Health Care Aide for the 5S FM Sub Acute unit. Under nursing supervision, you will assist with designated patient care and basic supportive care. The position emphasizes communication, safety, equipment maintenance, and teamwork within the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide continuous quality patient care
Deliver designated care under Registered Nurse direction
Maintain equipment and a safe, clean environment
Communicate effectively across interpersonal and departmental settings
Respond to Codes as required
Requirements:
Completed Grade XII or equivalent
Recognized Health Care Assistant course completed or nursing year two completed
CPR training meeting employer policy requirements
Appropriate body mechanics and transfer technique skills
Ability to write, speak, and understand English
Support Victoria General Hospital patients through quality care, safe transfers, communication, and dependable healthcare teamwork.
