High Voltage Instrument Transformer Tester

Apply electrical testing expertise as a Tester at Trench Canada in Pickering, Ontario, supporting instrument transformer production and safe high-voltage operations.
This junior, full-time union role requires industrial electrical fundamentals and accurate test-data recording. You will test instrument transformers using laboratory instruments, follow engineering instructions, and coordinate testing with Production planning and visiting inspectors. The position supports daily production quotas while maintaining safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical tests across instrument transformer ranges
Use Test Lab instruments and electrical knowledge
Coordinate testing with Production planning and inspectors
Issue reports documenting transformer measurements
Follow high-voltage safety procedures and handle materials
Requirements:
One to three years of junior-level experience
Industrial electrical fundamentals
Experience recording and analyzing test data
Ability to follow schematics, work orders, drawings, and instructions
Fluent English and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
