Casual Residential Mental Health Counsellor

Support mental health recovery through crisis intervention and daily living teaching as a Casual Residential Counsellor in Belleville, Ontario. Work on-site across varied shifts.
CMHA HPE seeks a Casual Residential Counsellor reporting to the Program Manager. You will support adults living with serious mental illness, addictions issues, dual diagnosis, or concurrent disorders. The work includes community support, stabilization, therapeutic rapport, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and service providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide ongoing side-by-side in-house and community support
Teach activities of daily living skills
Support stabilization within a supportive housing model
Collaborate with families, teams, and service providers
Encourage potential transition toward independent living
Requirements:
Related diploma or degree in psychology or social services
Six months to one year of relevant experience
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Demonstrated crisis intervention and therapeutic rapport skills
Ontario driver's licence, reliable vehicle, and adequate insurance
Bring crisis intervention, collaboration, and daily living support skills to CMHA HPE's residential services in Belleville, Ontario.
