Senior Living Maintenance Assistant

Support resident comfort and safety as a Maintenance Assistant at Verve Senior Living, using building maintenance and HVAC experience in retirement residence settings.
This Maintenance Assistant performs general building and preventive maintenance under direction within a Verve Senior Living retirement residence. The work includes minor repairs, renovations, janitorial duties, and contractor coordination. You will help maintain resident suites, common areas, equipment, grounds, and safety systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform repairs, renovations, and preventive maintenance promptly
Prepare resident suites for move-in after turnover
Monitor contracts, warranties, equipment, and maintenance work orders
Respond to emergencies and support fire drills
Maintain grounds, common areas, storage rooms, and garbage areas
Requirements:
Minimum grade 12 education
Building services experience with strong HVAC background
Ability to perform minor plumbing and electrical work
Intermediate computer skills and effective English communication
Ability to work independently with initiative and organization
