Aquatics Operations Coordinator YMCA Calgary

Coordinate aquatics operations at Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton using scheduling, supervision, training, and safety expertise. This is a full-time, 12-month contract.
Reporting to the Aquatics Supervisor, this coordinator supports staff, programs, and safe aquatic-centre operations. The work includes scheduling, recruitment support, coaching, certifications, inspections, payroll, and customer service. You will help maintain YMCA Calgary standards for members, participants, staff, volunteers, and patrons.
Key Responsibilities:
Support supervision of lifeguards, instructors, leads, coaches, and attendants
Create schedules and monitor shift changes for adequate coverage
Deliver orientations, coaching plans, training modules, and clinics
Monitor certifications, inspections, drills, statistics, and water tests
Respond to concerns and maintain accurate registrations, schedules, and payroll
Requirements:
National Lifeguard Pool certification and age eighteen or older
Swim Instructor or Lifesaving Swim for Life Instructor certification
Current Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C certification
Clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
Three professional references; supervisory experience is an asset
