Harm Reduction Licensed Practical Nurse
Lookout Housing and Health
Apply licensed practical nursing skills in Abbotsford with Lookout Housing and Health Society’s harm reduction program. Work Thursday through Saturday, 0800 to 1600.
This part time permanent LPN position supports adults facing mental illness, substance abuse, and complex health needs. Under the Health Programs Manager, you will provide harm reduction education, supplies, and client support. The work includes overdose response, crisis intervention, and collaboration with agencies and professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Observe clients and manage overdose signs using established protocols
Administer overdose-countering drugs when necessary
Provide safe injection education and harm reduction supplies
Assess health and socioeconomic needs and direct services
Collaborate with management, coordinators, and external agencies
Requirements:
Recognized Practical Nursing program graduation
Two years recent full scope LPN experience
Current full practicing CLPNBC licensure
Current OFA 1 First Aid and negative TB test
Knowledge of harm reduction, mental health, and addictions
Bring LPN judgment, overdose response, and harm reduction knowledge to Lookout’s Sumas ABI services in Abbotsford.
