Support construction equipment rentals through forklift operation, equipment cleaning, and careful inspections at Cooper Equipment Rentals in Dartmouth. A Class 5 licence is required.
As a Yard Coordinator, you will help make equipment rent-ready while supporting deliveries, returns, and daily branch operations. Responsibilities include checking general condition, completing service tags, operating forklifts or construction equipment, and communicating service needs. Key Responsibilities:
Check returned equipment and complete service tags as required
Confirm general condition through required rent-ready inspections
Operate forklifts and construction equipment safely when required
Assist with fueling, tire storage, and equipment movement
Communicate damage, equipment status, and service needs clearly
Requirements:
Valid Class 5 licence with no more than three demerit points
Comfort standing for extended periods and lifting approximately 50 pounds
Mechanical aptitude or interest in learning equipment operation
Strong communication and attention to detail
Customer-service mindset with a professional approach
Use equipment knowledge, safe operating practices, and clear communication to support rental readiness and branch coordination.
