This Housekeeper maintains bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, and common spaces across senior living and continuing care settings. Responsibilities include following infection control procedures, safely operating equipment, maintaining records, and reporting concerns. The position supports person-centered care by respecting resident dignity, self-determination, privacy, and the Resident Bill of Rights.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain tidy, sanitary bedrooms, living areas, and common spaces
Complete routine cleaning, bathroom sanitation, and garbage removal
Follow infection control policies through audits, observations, and investigations
Respond to emergency codes and special cleaning requests promptly
Protect confidential resident medical and personal information
Requirements:
Required knowledge of cleaning materials, techniques, and equipment
Ability to follow occupational health and safety regulations
Strong oral and written interpersonal communication skills
Ability to resolve challenging situations respectfully and effectively
Clear police and vulnerable sector information checks required
