Slickline Operator Assistant Trainee
Remote Wireline Services (2011) Ltd.
Build slickline field skills through hands-on equipment preparation, rig-up, and rig-out work in this entry-level Trainee position.
Reporting to the Slickline Operator and Operator Assistant, the Trainee supports slickline or SRO field operations. The position develops safe work habits, equipment knowledge, and operational skills. Work includes field and shop support, technical tasks, and documentation as directed.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with slickline or SRO field operations
Prepare equipment and support rig-up and rig-out
Clean, handle, inspect, and maintain slickline equipment
Support technical tasks and complete documentation as directed
Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and hazard assessments
Requirements:
Valid non-GDL Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence
Some mechanical ability; oilfield, construction, or farming experience an asset
Willingness to travel and participate in on-call rotation
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
Develop slickline operations, equipment handling, safety, and crew communication skills while progressing toward Operator Assistant responsibilities.
