Full Scope Licensed Practical Nurse

Full-scope nursing and patient safety define this Regular part-time LPN position at West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni, BC.
Working under a Manager or designate, the Licensed Practical Nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team. The position performs assessments, plans and provides personal care, and performs nursing procedures. Practice follows BC College of Nurses and Midwives standards, agency policies, and unit protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform patient assessments within full scope of practice
Plan and provide personal care
Perform nursing procedures according to unit protocols
Administer medications according to current competencies
Continuously support quality and safety improvement
Requirements:
Registration as a practicing LPN with BCCNM
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organize work and implement care plans
Ability to operate related equipment
Ability to physically carry out position duties
Bring full-scope LPN practice, care planning, and nursing procedure skills to West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni.
