Support financial reporting with JBS Canada as a Junior Accountant in Belleville, Ontario, using reconciliations and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. This position requires one weekend monthly.
The Junior Accountant assists the Senior Accountant and Controller with accounting transactions for JBS Ontario. You will help prepare accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries and statements. The work includes general ledger analysis, account reconciliation, KPI data entry, and specialized accounting or production-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly financials with the Senior Accountant and Controller
Reconcile accounts receivable and General Ledger accounts
Maintain standard costing files and accrued liabilities tracking
Assist with amortization, inventory, damages, and foreign exchange files
Prepare management reports and period-end reconciliations
Requirements:
College diploma or university degree in business or accounting
One to three years of related accounting experience
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
Availability one weekend monthly for month-end financial tasks
